Washington, D.C. – Hispanic Access Foundation is pleased to announce the hiring of David Armijo, who will serve as the Chief of Programs. In his role, Armijo will oversee all of the organization’s programs including the MANO Project, Conservation, and the Hispanic Leadership Network.

“I am honored to join an organization that has fought for 10 years to create an equitable society and established a track record of connecting Latinos with partners and opportunities to improve their lives,” said Armijo. “In my role, I hope to use my multicultural, professional experience to support HAF’s mission of empowering the Latino community.”

Armijo brings more than 20 years of leadership experience to HAF both in the corporate and nonprofit sectors. His professional experience has always focused on serving the community and developing and growing quality talent to meet the needs of clients, companies and stakeholders. Armijo’s career started with establishing his own business before moving into leadership roles with Target Corporation and H&R Block. His time as Director of Multicultural Initiatives for H&R Block led him to work with HAF to educate local Latino communities on the importance of paying and filing taxes.

“David’s record of success and long-time dedication to serving and helping his community will be fundamental to ensuring high-quality programs, strategy alignment to HAF’s mission and services implementation,” said Maite Arce, president and CEO of HAF. “His unique strengths of being a leader, strong communicator and exceptional relationship-builder will be essential in serving as a role model of HAF’s core values.”

Armijo graduated from Colorado Christian University with a degree in Organizational Management and is currently pursuing a Master’s of Theological Studies from Liberty University. He is also very active in his church, serving in various ministries including homeless, adult education, children and marriage ministries.
