A National Movement for Stewardship
Connecting Communities to Stewardship and Action

Since launching in 2014, this initiative has grown into a national movement with 300+ events each year, connecting Latino communities to the outdoors and opportunities for stewardship. Through community-led activities—from hiking and camping to roundtables and cultural events—we inspire connection to land, water, and air while empowering communities to protect the natural resources that sustain health, culture, and future generations.

The outdoors shapes community well-being, cultural connection, and quality of life, and communities are essential to its protection. Through Latino Conservation Week, Hispanic Access connects families and leaders to nature, fostering stewardship and strengthening the bond between people, land, water, and air for future generations.

Why It Matters

Access to nature supports health, strengthens culture, and builds community connection—yet many Latino communities face barriers to outdoor access and representation in conservation. Without inclusive engagement, opportunities to protect and sustain our natural resources are limited.

How We Create Change

We activate communities through a national movement of 300+ annual events that connect people to nature and to each other. By partnering with local leaders and organizations, we create opportunities for outdoor engagement, shared learning, and collective action that inspire stewardship and amplify community voice.

Driving Lasting Impact

When communities are connected to the outdoors and engaged in stewardship, they build stronger connections, protect natural resources, and create lasting impact. As Latinos grow to nearly one-third of the U.S. population, their role in stewardship will shape a more sustainable and thriving future for all.
