Wildland Firefighting is dangerous and dispatchers make sure that everything runs well. We dispatch orders for people to go to assignments to fight other people`s fires. RED cards is your card for anything and everything firefighting. We enter you into our database so you can be sent an order to send you to an assignment. Everything is in order and organized. We make sure we know where everyone and everything is. We are the Upper Colorado River Interagency Fire and Aviation or UCR that covers the Utah border to the Silverthorne and Dillion to Gunnison CO. The highlight was the spring meeting. In the unit, they have meetings for everyone across the unit. This meeting was fun with a large cookout of pancakes and an official meeting, then a game of murder mystery. I have become as restless and eager as everyone here.
