Making Educational Videos About Wildlife in English and Spanish

My skills quickly develop while working my internship at the San Luis National Wildlife Refuge Complex. I have started a video segment series in English and Spanish for the refuge complex’s Facebook page, to teach our followers about the species that thrive off of the habitat.

Coming Back Home to Show Local Communities Nearby Wildlife

I started my job/internship search after getting my bachelor’s degree, and as a small-town girl, I was expecting a long commute to my future job. With hard times during this election year and the economy, I decided to live with my parents and save instead of struggling to live in a major city without a stable job.

My name is Laura Albornoz and I am a recent graduate from UC Berkeley. I got a B.S. in Genetics and Plant Biology. During my time at UC Berkeley I did research with Elena Stacy on agricultural colonization of Latin America by Mennonites and their effects on politics, economies, and social dynamics. I am also a photographer and love to cook.
