I am currently a USFWS DFP intern working for the Carlbad Field Office in California. My position is in the Ecological Services office doing listing and recovery of a plant species, Nevin's barberry (Berberis nevinii).

The study of filmmaking is an exclusive place. Summer programs cost mightily for the chance to use cameras, learn with other like-minded teens, and make short movies to fill out white space on a resume.

Aquatic species, such as fish, mussels, and crayfish, tremendously depend on a network of rivers and streams as pathways for movement. However, as long, linear ecosystems, rivers and streams are particularly vulnerable to fragmentation.

The past 10 years of my life have revolved around studying the sea.
