CNB NEWS: COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic for Local Latino Community Get The "Jab"

Category: News Coverage

On Thursday, May 5, Club Colombia is hosting a vaccination clinic as part of Hispanic Access Foundation’s ‘Unity in Community’ Project in partnership with the Health Resources and Services Administration, an agency of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The FREE clinic will be offering the initial doses of all vaccines, as well as the booster to its nearby community.

The past couple of years has shown just how much the COVID-19 pandemic has disproportionately impacted Latino communities. The organization decided to launch this program to help improve the livelihood of Latinos across the nation. At times, it’s not that Latinos don’t want to get vaccinated, but they often face many barriers – language, technology, transportation, and mistrust of the vaccine.
