Hispanic Access Foundation Welcomes New Director of Development

Category: News Releases

Hispanic Access Foundation is pleased to announce Luke Argleben will serve as the Director of Development. In his role, he will lead, create and execute fundraising plans to increase annual revenue using a combination of traditional fundraising methods.

"I am both thrilled and honored to have the opportunity to serve as the Director of Development for Hispanic Access,” said Argleben. “I know just how valuable our organization is to our communities, and it's really the people we serve that make our work so valuable. My hope as our first full-time development director, is to develop an all-star team and a culture of philanthropy that takes us from development to advancement for many years to come."

Argleben has been a powerful asset to the organization since 2017, first working as an Operations & Program Assistant where he handled a wide range of administrative, programmatic and fundraising support tasks. In 2019, he was promoted to Development Associate and then to Development Manager in early 2021.

“It has been amazing to see Luke’s growth in fundraising over the last few years,” said Maite Arce, president and CEO of Hispanic Access. “His passion for our organization’s mission and showing the Latino community how important caring about the environment is will be sure to have a positive impact on Hispanic Access Foundation’s future success.”

Argleben’s passion for the outdoors is rooted in his upbringing. At a very young age, he’d go camping, fishing, backpacking and exploring in the outdoors with his family. His love for the outdoors inspired Argleben to study Environmental Biology and Chemistry at Christopher Newport University, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with Honors. Although his education is primarily in the scientific field, Argleben made it a point to infuse policy analysis and discussion in his studies, because he ultimately believes the relationship between people and the environment is essential to learn.
