Bianca Ortega

My name is Bianca Ortega. After graduating from my local community college, I transferred to California State University, Los Angeles, where I completed a degree in biochemistry. Originally geared for medical school, I took a professional break during the Covid outbreak and found a passion and calling for outreach and education. Working for various non-profits, I fell in love with empowering others with knowledge about the outdoors and the environment. Growing up in a lower income community, it has been incredibly rewarding to be able to provide educational experiences to those with a similar background as my own. I hope to be able to continue down this path and gain even more skills throughout this internship.
